- Dealing with love is something that most people, if not everybody experiences. We all get love from our family whether they don't show it to our faces, we still feel the love. Friends also show love to us and others because they don't want to lose us or vice versa.
List of Things:
I. Things I’m afraid of…..
- Human-like statues
- Failure
- Not taking a chance
When I was eight years old, my family and I went to a museum in Atlantic City called “Ripley’s Believe It or Not.” There was a section in the museum where there were two human-like statues, one statue look like it was taking a picture, and the other was just posing for the camera. I didn’t want to go past those two statues because they looked creepy and I thought then if I walked past the statues, they would have followed me a hunt me down. What an imagination I had. I ran past the statues as the picture flicked from the camera that one of the statues was holding.
II. Things I’m passionate about…..
- Poetry
- Music
- Sports
- My life
Ever since I was about five-six years old, poetry has just came into my life without me knowing at first. I remember when I was about that age, I was walking with my mother and I just decided to talk about the fall season since it was fall at the time. I talked about leaves falling, the color changes of the leaves, and how when it is winter, the leaves would be gone until spring. With me not knowing what a poem is, my mother explained it to me then typed up the poem that I said, and the rest is history.
III. Things that I love to eat…..
- Pizza
- Chicken Wings
- Noodles
- Rice
- Peas
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Steak
When I was about four years old, I fell in love with eating chicken wings. I remember that somebody came home from a trip and as soon as they got home, somebody ordered Chinese food and I ate my first chicken wing and I fell in love with it. I fell in love with it so much that I asked one day for an order of ten chicken wings and I got it. Ever since then, I’ve been ordering ten chicken wings until now.
IV. Things that annoy me…..
- Rude people
- Loud people who are supposed to be quiet
When I was fifteen years old, I met this boy who wouldn’t be quiet whenever I am trying to do my work. He was also rude because I would tell him to be quiet, and he would shun me. For nearly two years that I hadn’t seen him, anytime I would be annoyed by somebody else, he would be the first one to pop up in my head because I disliked him so much.
V. Things that interests me….
- Girls
- Instruments
- Video games
- Music
Ever since I can remember, I would be intrigued with instruments and how they were used. In my elementary school, I would go to an after-school music program in the school and I would play on instruments such as the xylophone, violin, drums, and recorder. When I was eight years old, my eldest brother bought me a guitar for me to play. Occasionally, I would play it when I am very bored. Instruments are the significant reason on why I like music.
VI. Things that I can’t live without……
- Music
- Family
- Food
- Air
- Water
- TV
- Money
- Internet (Nowadays)
- Cell phone
Getting my first cell phone when I was eleven years old was one of the greatest days of my life. When using the cell phone, I wouldn’t even talk as much because the phone was prepaid and I didn’t like using up the minutes. I knew that I could add minutes by putting money but I didn’t feel like asking my parents every week for money. Later that year, I got a new non-prepaid cell phone with a different number that was an extreme upgrade from my older phone. Ever since then, I’ve had many different phones with the same number.
VII. Things that I like to do in my spare time…..
- Playing sports
- Lifting weights in the gym
- Playing video games
- Hanging out with my friends
- Writing poetry
When I was ten going on eleven years old, I started lifting weights in a gym. I was influenced by my older brother to lift weights since I would be sometimes jealous of him since he had muscles and abs. I would occasionally go to the gym when I want to. Sometimes I feel that if I spent more time at the gym, I would be much bigger than tall. Most times I go to gym whenever I feel out of shape or just weak.
VIII. Places that I’ve been to…..
- London
- Nigeria
- Colorado
- California
- New Jersey
- Nebraska
When I was ten years old, I wanted to go to Colorado to see my eldest brother. That summer of 2002, I went to Colorado with my mother, who left the week after she came, so that I can stay for the whole summer. I remember going to a water park with my brother and nearly drowning because the water was so deep. My brother has been living there for about a decade or nearly a decade and I think Colorado is like having a vacation because it’s more peaceful than being in New York.
IX. Favorite restaurants that I’ve been to….
- Tad’s Steak
- Red Lobster
- Fridays
Ever since my ninth or tenth birthday, I would go celebrate my birthday with my family at the Tad’s Steak restaurant. This has been happening every year and my brother and my sister can’t stand it. Going to that restaurant has made me love steak and make me order the same special every year.
X. Favorite subjects….
- Math
- Science
My father has told me that when I was two years old, I would watch a PBS channel with a woman teaching math. I would either love to hear the woman’s voice or just like numbers. Ever since then, math has been my favorite subject for every grade because I would just like the numbers and graphs and multiplication.
Great job, Phillip.
